What are your states requirements? Most states in the U.S. require an esthetician license, some a cosmetology license and  some may not require a license at all.  Trust me, knowledge is your best friend in this journey.

Step 2 Get Licensed

Once you've done your research, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get licensed. If your state requires a license, start researching different schools in your area. One very important tip that I give to everyone that’s interested in becoming an esthetician, do not go to the most expensive school with the hope of getting the best education. When I'm looking at candidates to hire, the last thing I care about is where you when to school. Your people skills, level of customer service, willingness to learn and take direction is what I look for when I’m hiring. Unfortunately, cosmetology schools are set up to teach you the basics and primarily focus on helping you pass your state board exams. This is because the programs tend to be short, which is great if you want to start a career asap, but it truly takes experience and time to master these types of services. No one ever comes out of school feeling confident. Trust me, go to a cheaper school for your licensing and invest more into taking advanced education courses. Don’t worry, many salons are willing to train or offer apprenticeships, you’ll learn a lot while on the job.

Step 3: Get Trained

Look for reputable training courses or workshops that offer trainings online or in person. Brow Lamination doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated! I recommend doing this only for a short amount of time. Extended discounts can attract clients that may only be looking for a one time deal and won’t return, and it can also revalue your service.

Last but not least, stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in the beauty industry. Attend workshops, conferences, and seminars to expand your knowledge and keep your skills sharp. After all, learning is a lifelong journey, and there's always room for growth.
